To calculate the port length of a triangle pot all you have to do is find the area of the triangle and plug it in to a port formula like this one

in terms of area, two triangles will make a square (duh)

I saw someone with a triangle-shaped port at a USACI event last year and his mojo 15 put up some serious numbers in it. Almost 170db doing port wars, in the mid 140's in the kick.

Sounds like major turbelance/restriction to me which is good for port wars, but not so good for SPL or sounding good...

Assuming this is a daily box then I'd probably do a little more port area then normal just to be safe. Maybe 14^2 per cube if your sub normally requires 12^2 per cube.

Triangle ports work fine, there aren't any turbulence/noise issues just like any port thats designed properly.

a square is 2 triangles no matter how it's done, no matter what kind of triangle b/c a square cut from one corner across to the next makes 2 triangles. so you can quit being a smart *** with your total of 20 post. maybe next time you can just save your sarcasm for someone else. I just want to know about calculating port length.

hey ******, since you think you know what the fawk ur squakin about, take your two equalateral triangles (which has 3-60degree angles in case you don't know)

and you tell me how in the fawk you make a square (which has 4-90 degree angles in case you didn't know that either)
