Treo SSX not loud???

have a treo ssx 15. in 4.5 cubes tuned to 34. and does not get loud. iIv tried different boxes, different cars. runnin off about 2000 watts (amp in sig) loudest i can get it is 140 on the tl.....in a hatch. obviously something is wrong, but don't know where else to look. i have a yellowtop in back, 0ga all around, brand new amp, no HO alt, but for burps, 140dbs??? what ways can I test a sub to see if its the problem???

hmmmm. maybe treo's just aren't that loud. i had a single ten ssi ported on just under 900 watts and only got 134.1 on the tl. it was on music though, not burps.

but treo subs are not very sensitive at all and always seem to need tons of power.

that does sound off...try a bigger box. A guy I know that competes around here has a ssx15 on a treo 1500.1 in an xterra hitting constant 144s

the sub is 2500rms and ur giving it 2000rms...give it more

for a 15 but hes not even giving the sub its rms....therefore its not reaching its full potential. Hes obvisously not satisfied with it so if he gave it more he might be.

exactly. but nothin. from what i read a what treo recommends, a smaller box (@3 cubes tuned to 29)

and don't go crankin gains to try to beef up the amp unless you know what you're doin

probe. also put it on a forester...didn't meter it but to the ear, there was no difference in sound. (bux is sub up/port back)

i doubt this would make a huge difference but how much port area?
