Jeremy, you have some explaing to do.

Jeremy did inform me that he had to send the truck back to Traxxas and they replaced the controller and engine.

Here’s some email responses from Jeremy …

12/27 -

12/29 -

I did get a second box full of parts, but I only for 1 electric start and charger, and 12, count em 12, dead AA batteries.
THAT TRUCK IS WORTH $450 IN THAT CONDITION, THEY ARE AWSOME, SOMETIME HARD TO GET RUNNING, MOTORS WEAR OUT FAST, I JUMPED MINE OVER MY HONDA, THE HI-LO ****** IS AWSOME!!!!

THE REMOVABLE BODY IS WORTH DICK, THERE CEHAP TO GET NEW ONES.

BUT I CAN SEE WHERE YOU WOULD FEEL MISLEAD (ITS A GOOD TRUCK THOUGH), THAT ORION IS HOT!!!

I might be interested.. As long as she works. Will you take 300 shipped since its used?
Tim
Well, I've never had an RC car before, and I was under the impression that it was supposed to be a BRAND NEW TRUCK. The BRAND NEW TRUCK should have been RTR (Ready To Race) with minor assembly, but since it's used I'm still trying to figure things out.

ARE YOU HAVING TRUOBLE GETTING IT TO RUN? THE IDLE SCREW IS TOUCH!! LET ME KNOW, I CAN HELP IF YOU NEED.
I followed the procedures in the Quick Start Manual ... http://www.traxxas.com/products/nitro/tmaxx/blueprints/TMaxxQS.pdf, but I don't see fuel going from the tank to the carb. The fuel just sits in the lower portion of the line. I also turned the HSN all the way in, then backed it out 2.5 turns.

I pulled the glow plug and held it up to the cylinder, and it does glow.

Any tips on trying to get it started?

sounds like its not creating vacuum in the cylinder, did you try the low speed idle, make sures thats at and 1/8 turn out, then hold you finger over the exhaust out, and tap the start button a few time in a row and the fuel should pick up.

HSN is about 2.5 turns out and LSN is about 1/8 turns out, and nothing. No fuel is moving into the card.

check the screw that runs through the center of the exhaust, that has to be snug, the motor uses exhaust back pressure to pull the fuel into the ports, check your hose for holes, or cracks.

never mind your exhaust is what diff than mine is! i havent seen that kind muffler on those before.
No, its the same. What type of starting are you using? The EZ Start accessorie? Check the throttle linkage, make sure everything is set right. Take all of that fuel and throw it out and try to get all of the fuel out of the lines. Then check to make sure they are not clogged with anything. Put in some new fuel, clean the air filter, check the carb and see if it is clogged with anything, check the muffler for any cracks/holes because that is how it builds pressure, via the exhaust pipe, and if the fuel is just sitting there then that tells me that its getting no pressure.

While I believe they are great trucks, I own one myself, I don't think they are worth $450 in that condition. Even after wearing out my first engine, it had no corrosion/shit on it.

If it was infact brand new, which I doubt, then youll need to break the engine in which will take a while. Not very fun but you get used to the handling of the MAXX.
