Trading my setup..right decision?

Right now I'm considering trading my 2 12" AA Atlases for a single 12" Sonic FX Q and I'm just wanting to make sure I'm not getting a bad deal. I'm running my Atlases in a 3ft^3 sealed common chamber enclosure and I absolutely love the sound quality. I'm in the game to get something a little bit louder but retain relative SQ. My question is, is it worth the trade? Will I get what I want?

Side note: For power I have a Hifonics Brutus 1500D.

Opinions please.

i've never heard either one, but i know those sonics look pretty impressive. any one 12 is hard pressed to keep up with 2 though. i'd say your atlases will be a bit louder, although you could get that sonic close with the right box.

When it comes to output, the atlas SUCKS.I had 2 8" RF punch Z's, sealed off of half the power the atlas got and they were a little louder.In a ported box it got a little better but still sucked.So unless you have them in some very loud advanced design (which ya don't) I'm willing to bet the sonic fx q is going to be louder.

nope, never heard them, but i was under the impression they were about like a soundsplinter rl-i or an ed Ov.2, something like that.

Somewhat old thread but eh.300rms and it was 1.3cf. sealed if I remember correctly.I think that was one of the "perfect" boxes for it on the low Q setting.
