I'm partial to my MMATs D300HC. The amp is rather small and puts out WAY more than its rated and does it efficiently. Its rated at 1200wrms @ 2ohm and mine put out over 1700wrms @ 2ohm

The amp never gets hot no matter how long I punish it.

yea iherd mmats are good for comps. b/c the y do so much more than they are rated

There are too many decent quality amplifiers available that will output 1.5kW+ to narrow it down to a list of 5, man....

Crossfire

Planet Audio

Power Acoustik (more towards the budget minded but they have some amps with a solid following that will make that level of wattage)

Yes those amps are mini beast....I traded my D100HC for a modded D300HC and that thing is awesome.....I love the Mmats amps for daily amps....

US Amps makes some pretty good products and they are going back to the old school heatsinks

I am going to have to say Crossfire. I have a VR1000D and I had it bench tested at 1524 watts @1ohm. I also have a Crossfire VR2000D coming in the mail.
