Too much power?

Is 1000 watts RMS too much for 2 Kicker 12" L5's? there will be 2 1000 watt amps(one for each sub) Is this way to much power for them seeing that they are 600 rms 1200 max

yeah 2x if unless you already got the L5, but the should be fine im sure that rated them 1200 max for a reason

it would be a sealed box. its for my g/f. And I picked the l5's becasue she doesnt want it like REALLY loud but she does like it LOUD.

lol 1k rms to 2 subs isn't really loud to her lol i want your girl.

maybe you could do 1 amp and 2 subs and give them a litte under their RMS

or you could set the gains to maybe around 800 watts . . .

lol yeah my girls an loud music person. i was suprised myself lol. she wants to keep both amps tho but doesnt want it Extreamly loud. We heard a 2 12" L7 set up using a lil more then half the power she has and it was Too Loud for her. So then getting 2 of those with 1 amp to each sub is more then likly gonna be louder then that wouldn't it? and they were sealed 2.

LOL yeah thats very true but what bout when she wants to turn it up loud without the subs POUNDING loud.

Thats what turning the sub volume up and down is for....
