My Reciever has a 3 ohm sub output. Will it hurt either the reciever or the sub to run a 4 ohm sub??

running a sub with higher impedance(ohms), no.

Running a sub with a lower impedance than recommended, quite possibly.

You sure it says 3 and not 8?

Yep, its 3. Kinda wierd...All the speaker outputs are 4 ohms, but the sub is 3 ohms...

So it will hurt my subs if i run them at 3 ohms??

It won't damage the subs or the receiver at all...unless they're DVC or have multiple SVC drivers, you can't "choose" what impedance you're going to have.

Most receivers have subwoofer preouts and NOT speaker outputs.
