Ok i have two 4X6's ill be installing myself in my 96 sierra connected to the headunit. What ill need to get installed by a shop because i woulndt know where to start. Is my 2 channel amp and alpine type R components in the door. What woud this typically cost me, because just phoned bestbuy for a quote and they said $100 plus an amp wireing kit which will run me anywhere from 70 - 200 bucks? That seems like alot. I mean is it easy enough to do myself? Where would i find out how to do this?? Like step by step idiots guide type of thing. And say i was to buy a wireing kit for cheap off ebay as i see them selling for like 10 bucks what type would i look for to get. The amp im using is a pyramid 2 channel amp, which i will probably end up upgrading in the future.

You could definitely do it yourself ... but,

Where in Vancouver are you? Might be able to recommend a shop or two. If you've got money and time to blow on a ferry ride, I'd just take it up to Rob's shop in Courtenay (Forbidden Audio).

Specifically i live in Coquitlam. Not really down for a ferry ride though hehe. Im sure i could do it myself, that is if i knew what i was doing hehe. What about amp kits what should i look for when buying one. This particular amp that i will probaly upgrade later is a Pyramid PB-772 300 wattts mosfet 2 ohm stable. Got it given to me so will do for the time being.

just do it ur self just search or look on cruchfieldadvisor.com and watch the video. its a pitty ur gonna run those nice speakers off of that crappy amp

yeh i know it is but its just for the time being. When i can afford a decent amp ill invest in one. It will still be better then running it off the headunit though. What type of wiring kit should i get?

OK so you need to install door speakers and amp them??? Do you even know how to get your door panels off? Thats a good start. Let us know if your that far lol
