Too much power to type X?

You definately have the power there. I think it'll come down to budget. If you can swing the extra cash to get another Type X, then I would do it. It looks like you want a SQL setup. 2 Type X's in the right box and the 2250d...you'll be satisfied..at least for a little while.

so would a second type x be worth the 200 or more for the sub and then the extra cost for a different box?
that's all on you. if you have the room, want to build the box, have the extra money, etc. then yes. i would go with the one for now and if it doesn't pull its weight with you, then get a second. boxes aren't that much money to build. taking a loss on a second sub you don't need sucks.

that's a good plan. but after christmas i'll be working my *** off to pay off the car. right now i wanna get the system out of the way. I'm getting the pioneer 7800 head unit. so yah SQ is a big concern but i also wanna have a bad *** system to go along with it. also, i don't know how to build my own boxes. I want to learn and might try. how hard is it to build a sealed box with an angle on the back?

for some people it would be really hard. for others, not as bad. if you're really patient and take your time, i don't see why not.

wow. all i need for a single 12 inch box would be like a 4 foot by 4 foot sheet. maybe not even that much.
that's an estimate. to be honest, i lost track. that's about right if you include carpet though. i put a plexi window and lights inside the box and have on all the ones i've built, so mine were all around 100.

that's a good deal. How hard is it to install plexi in a box?
not too bad. my apartment managers drill press saved my @ss though. drilling the holes for the screws is the hardest part, especially if you don't have a drill press. also, if you don't have your box measurements exact, you can't cut the plexi yourself.
