that's all on you. if you have the room, want to build the box, have the extra money, etc. then yes. i would go with the one for now and if it doesn't pull its weight with you, then get a second. boxes aren't that much money to build. taking a loss on a second sub you don't need sucks.so would a second type x be worth the 200 or more for the sub and then the extra cost for a different box?
that's a good plan. but after christmas i'll be working my *** off to pay off the car. right now i wanna get the system out of the way. I'm getting the pioneer 7800 head unit. so yah SQ is a big concern but i also wanna have a bad *** system to go along with it. also, i don't know how to build my own boxes. I want to learn and might try. how hard is it to build a sealed box with an angle on the back?that's all on you. if you have the room, want to build the box, have the extra money, etc. then yes. i would go with the one for now and if it doesn't pull its weight with you, then get a second. boxes aren't that much money to build. taking a loss on a second sub you don't need sucks.
for some people it would be really hard. for others, not as bad. if you're really patient and take your time, i don't see why not.that's a good plan. but after christmas i'll be working my *** off to pay off the car. right now i wanna get the system out of the way. yeah i've got the drawings and stuff. What's the price on 3/4 MDF sheets at home depot?for some people it would be really hard. for others, not as bad. if you're really patient and take your time, i don't see why not.
i got all the materials, including glue, screws and silicone for 50 bucks.yeah i've got the drawings and stuff. What's the price on 3/4 MDF sheets at home depot?
wow. all i need for a single 12 inch box would be like a 4 foot by 4 foot sheet. maybe not even that much.i got all the materials, including glue, screws and silicone for 50 bucks.
that's an estimate. to be honest, i lost track. that's about right if you include carpet though. i put a plexi window and lights inside the box and have on all the ones i've built, so mine were all around 100.wow. all i need for a single 12 inch box would be like a 4 foot by 4 foot sheet. maybe not even that much.
just the wood is 20 or under.wow. all i need for a single 12 inch box would be like a 4 foot by 4 foot sheet. maybe not even that much.
how much is plexi?that's an estimate. to be honest, i lost track. that's about right if you include carpet though. i put a plexi window and lights inside the box and have on all the ones i've built, so mine were all around 100.
3/4 inch plexi is expensive. mine is just a 15" x 20" window and it was 30 bucks. a whole panel on the box pushes a hundred.how much is plexi?
that's a good deal. How hard is it to install plexi in a box?3/4 inch plexi is expensive. mine is just a 15" x 20" window and it was 30 bucks. a whole panel on the box pushes a hundred.
not too bad. my apartment managers drill press saved my @ss though. drilling the holes for the screws is the hardest part, especially if you don't have a drill press. also, if you don't have your box measurements exact, you can't cut the plexi yourself.that's a good deal. How hard is it to install plexi in a box?
