Too much power for LOC?

when I turn the volume on my deck around halfway the bass plays fine for a while, then the volume will drop and come back and drop again. When I turn the volume back down everything is good again. I've checked connection's, swapped RCA's, swapped amps, swapped stock headunit ipod adapters, and the problem still persists. My LOC I'm pretty sure I got from autozone a while back. Has anyone else had this problem?

Everyone has issues with cheap ones, its just common sense you get what you pay for so they just bite the bullet amd buy a good one. The lc2i is $70 on amazon,

I ran a loc for almost two years and blasted the sh*t outta it never had any issues. It is the cheapest option to try though so might as well start there. Still sounds like thermal shutdown to me also though.

Failing amp or failing LOC.

Dumb question, but does your amp have speaker level inputs that you could try out direct from headunit and bypass LOC altogether? I sure don't see many amps nowadays without high level inputs.

16.6 is way too high. That will destroy an AGM battery. What alternator brand did you use? Sounds like a voltage regulator issue. Are you...
