I read that its good to get an amp above the rated RMS of the sub so you dont push the amp to its fullest so it draws less current from the amp I believe. Anyway, I want about 6-700 watts RMS going into my RLP which is a dual 4 ohm. I was looking at the hifonics BX1205D and it says 900watts at 2 ohms. Is it fine to put this amp on the rlp if I'll only be using about 2/3 of its power? If not, what is another choice? I searched for RLP amp, amp for RLP etc. but search failed. ARG! And I'm trying to keep the price 300 or below but still get a good quality amp that will make the RLP sound good. Please help, thanks.
