Too much for an RLP?

I read that its good to get an amp above the rated RMS of the sub so you dont push the amp to its fullest so it draws less current from the amp I believe. Anyway, I want about 6-700 watts RMS going into my RLP which is a dual 4 ohm. I was looking at the hifonics BX1205D and it says 900watts at 2 ohms. Is it fine to put this amp on the rlp if I'll only be using about 2/3 of its power? If not, what is another choice? I searched for RLP amp, amp for RLP etc. but search failed. ARG! And I'm trying to keep the price 300 or below but still get a good quality amp that will make the RLP sound good. Please help, thanks.

Whoever was doing the xxx rl-p (not ls1pimp's idiotic review) review not too long ago was giving his rl-p 1200w and said it sounded very good, but he wouldn't go much over that.

I like my viper 1200.1D, you'll want a little bit of headroom.

im sendin 800w from usamps md22 2.0 sealed, and it pounds.

in the future gonna get 1 more and send 1.2kw each. 1 cube sealed

it takes WAY more than its rated
