Too big for 12s?

Right now i Have my 12" SEs in a terribly built 6 cube box tuned to 27-28 Hz and It actually sounds good. Normally i hear people say stick to 4 cubes for two 12s, but I kinda like the bigger box sound, and from what i see, doesnt the bigger the box the louder it can get?

So would something like 5 cubes tuned to 32 be too much for two 12" SEs off 1200 watts? Or should I stay closer to 4.5 cubes? Both using a 6" Aero i got today. What are the pros and cons to big boxes and small boxes? Thanks

I had two 12 L7's in 5.7 net with 3 x 6" aeros at full length. I think it was around 41Hz. You need to make sure you have enough port area for that big of a box. Also, the kickers sounded great in 5.7, hit 145 dB with a bxi 1606D on them.

kicker l7's go in very large boxes compared to other 12's. even there L7 10 performs optimally in 2.25 each, which is larger than most 12's. bad example. i wouldn't go over 2.25 per sub with those SE's, or 4.5 total box.
