Tony Parker > Steve Nash

Dwight Howard is a beast, no doubt about that, but to early to say baby shaq. See in another few years how he does. Is impressive though.
agreed

Only one here being ignorant is you, being your all on his nutz, like the people that made him MVP. The system is flawed and has been for awhile now. Goes with all sports IMO.
I think Dirk is an outstanding player, dont get me wrong, but he is not the best in the league, period. Also I think if they go on this theory of your the best player on the best team, then wait till after playoffs and give the dam award too who ever wins the title. Cause then that would be truely given the award to the best player on the best team. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/blackeye.gif.66a1670f5aaf7f406e783a63e3387dc5.gif
indeed! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

i think "clearly dirk is mvp" statement is bs. to me MVP doesn't mean who has the best stats or who is the best player on the best team. steve nash didn't have the greatest of stats when he won his first mvp, like 15 pts and 11 assists a game. good numbers but not eye popping numbers. to me MVP means if you take that person off that team, where will the team be? to me its either kobe, steve, or lebron. you take any of those players off their teams and they are nothing. even worse for kobe and lebron since they got no talent around them. its hard to believe shaq has only 1 mvp. during his prime, there was no one player more valuable than him. i agree, the system is way flawed.
the lakers were not great. kobe made a mediocre team less mediocre. lebron would be a better chocie, or if arenas didn't get hurt and washington tanked.

Now how in the hell did Kobe make his team less mediocre. This should be a good one. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif If it wasnt for him they would be lucky to win 15 games in a season.

:sigh: agin not comprehending.

he took a mediocre team and made it less mediocre, you know mediocre but not as mediocre as without him. if you think the lakers were anything but a mediocre team, you are just ignorant. idk why you'd give an mvp to someone on a mediocre team. it really hurt the team because they aren't in the draft lottery. what good came out of making the playoffs and getting bounced in 5 games? atleast if they didn't make the playoffs, the lakers would have a lottery pick

You really shouldnt get involved in a debate if you dont know what you are talking about. With what you just said makes no sense. For instance you say his stats arent as good as last years, yes, I know. Then you say the team work is better this year. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/blackeye.gif.66a1670f5aaf7f406e783a63e3387dc5.gif Sir, you do remember they went to the finals last year correct, with out Dirk as MVP with better numbers last year. So please refrain from posting anymore until you know what the hell you are talking about. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif Cause he won MVP this year and his team was knocked off by GS!
To Iwouldfukanyone //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif I agree with you. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif I love my cav's, but I know with out LeBron they wouldn't be where they are today. I mean they have some talent without him, but they would be lucky to win 35 games with out him.
again please read.... as i stated i know dirk blew in the playoffs but he was the regular season mvp.... i know its hard to look at him that way now after seeing how much he ****** in the playoffs but he was the most valuable player in the league during this regular season... get off your knees and give lebron a break he'lll need it when he gets owned by the pistons

i agree. it's a regular season award. i wasn't blown away by dirk, as i just didn't think anyone this year stood out for the mvp. personally i wouldn't have given dirk the mvp, but he was deserving.

Dirk had a very solid season. But, I would've given it to nash instead.
dirk did have a good season, but it really wasn't his best season. he could've won it last year or the year before. dirk doesn't defend well, is an average rebounder, has no shot blocking ability, and for MVP power forward, you should be able to work on the low block. i think everybody gets all amazed at his ability to shoot the 3 and put the ball on the floor, but i'll take tim duncan anyday over dirk. i want my power forward playing with his back to the basket, and rebound, defend and block shots

I agree with this. I cant stand Kobe as a person. But, his game does speak for itself.
I also agree i dont know of any other player who can score like this guy... even if it is with some 19 year old chick in colorado.... but i honestly think that the sex acquisations hurt his image so much that its still subconsciously taken into consideration when when selecting the mvp

My thoughts exactly. He really isnt a presence in the low post like he should be.

the lakers really aren't a good team. if the lakers were a 50 win team and 4th or 5th in the west, i'd give him the mvp, but a 7th seed 42-40 team, is really not a good team.

He does make the lakers a much better team. But the way that he ego controls him, he will never be able to get another championship. He cant handle another superstar on the team with him.

Sources around the league say that Kobe is really furious (more than what he has publicly expressed) at the front office. When he re-signed, he was promised a contender to be built around him.

He wanted B. Davis, but the front office didnt do it. He wanted Boozer, but the front office couldn't get it done. He wanted Artest, didnt happen. He wanted Kidd...didn't happen.

He just didnt get along with shaq
