dirk didn't have the best stats. he wasn't top 10 in rebounds, assists or points. also you bring up the warriors, this award was voted on right after the regular season before dallas lost to golden state. it is a regular season award.
detroit will not have home court advantage against san antonio, only against utah, and it was 05 they played san antonio

I think the award should be given at the end of the entire season, not just the regular season. I wasnt sure if detroit would have the advantage, eventhough they are 1 in the east, the 3 seeded spurs I guess have a better record(just shows how weak the east is). I think garnett is a great player, he has just been around a bunch of shitty guys his entire career to make it simple. I think if he was on a different team he would mesh well.

Garnett has amazing numbers year in and year out w/ a shitty *** team. Take him away and they might not win but a handful of games. Reason they are shitty is because they have no one else. Every team that has been in the playoffs for the most part has had someone else stand out. Dallas/Howard, Cavs/Hughes, Nets/Kidd, Pistons/most of the team, Spurs/Parker, GS/Richardson, Rockets/Ming, Lakers/Odom, Jazz/Willams and so on and so on. Garnett has no one else, period and hasn't for awhile. Guy puts up pts, rbds, assists, blocks, steals....... has it all. Probably one of the best all around players in the league.
