what do you expect the league to base the mvp off of.... I mean i know the guys stats werent as good as last year but the team work was better he made it work and led his his team....they dont get much valuable.....

he is good but there is better imo! not every player get's a chance to prove themselves. like jermaine o'neal........when he played for portland no one gave a **** about him!he sat on the bench, but since he moved to indiana and got to start and show what he had to offer...he moved up as a star player in the nba. there are a few more players in the nba that sit on a bench that could get the job done!

i think "clearly dirk is mvp" statement is bs. to me MVP doesn't mean who has the best stats or who is the best player on the best team. steve nash didn't have the greatest of stats when he won his first mvp, like 15 pts and 11 assists a game. good numbers but not eye popping numbers. to me MVP means if you take that person off that team, where will the team be? to me its either kobe, steve, or lebron. you take any of those players off their teams and they are nothing. even worse for kobe and lebron since they got no talent around them. its hard to believe shaq has only 1 mvp. during his prime, there was no one player more valuable than him. i agree, the system is way flawed.

alpha look at my statement on page 3... i agree with you but i think dirk filled that criteria i dont think the mavs would have gotten into the playoffs without dirk... i also think that some teams just have your number and don nelson proved that....

Dwight Howard is a beast, no doubt about that, but to early to say baby shaq. See in another few years how he does. Is impressive though.

I actually am a spurs dans and was at the game last night.... I just keep bringing up valid reasons why dirk was chosen MVP and you just ignore them like an ignorant prick but whatever makes you feel better.... again mvp was based on the REGULAR SEASON dumbass and dirk was clearly the most valuable player in the regular season

Only one here being ignorant is you, being your all on his nutz, like the people that made him MVP. The system is flawed and has been for awhile now. Goes with all sports IMO.

I think Dirk is an outstanding player, dont get me wrong, but he is not the best in the league, period. Also I think if they go on this theory of your the best player on the best team, then wait till after playoffs and give the dam award too who ever wins the title.
