Tony Parker > Steve Nash

dirk did have a good season, but it really wasn't his best season. he could've won it last year or the year before. dirk doesn't defend well, is an average rebounder, has no shot blocking ability, and for MVP power forward, you should be able to work on the low block. i think everybody gets all amazed at his ability to shoot the 3 and put the ball on the floor, but i'll take tim duncan anyday over dirk. i want my power forward playing with his back to the basket, and rebound, defend and block shots
My thoughts exactly. He really isnt a presence in the low post like he should be.

I also agree i dont know of any other player who can score like this guy... even if it is with some 19 year old chick in colorado.... but i honestly think that the *** aquisations hurt his image so much that its still taken into consideration when when selecting the mvp

the lakers really aren't a good team. if the lakers were a 50 win team and 4th or 5th in the west, i'd give him the mvp, but a 7th seed 42-40 team, is really not a good team.

He does make the lakers a much better team. But the way that he ego controls him, he will never be able to get another championship. He cant handle another superstar on the team with him.

Sources around the league say that Kobe is really furious (more than what he has publicly expressed) at the front office. When he re-signed, he was promised a contender to be built around him.

He wanted B. Davis, but the front office didnt do it. He wanted Boozer, but the front office couldn't get it done. He wanted Artest, didnt happen. He wanted Kidd...didn't happen.

He just didnt get along with shaq

No big name player wants to be on the same team with kobe.

he wouldn't get along with any of those players. kidd may work since he isn't a scorer.

the lakers were not great. kobe made a mediocre team less mediocre. lebron would be a better chocie, or if arenas didn't get hurt and washington tanked.
like i said my definition of an mvp is what happens to the team when you take that player out of that team. did i say the team had to be great? nope. take kobe out of the lakers and they are in the basement of the western conference period.

Nash is by far a better player/PG than parker. Although parker is a very good player, I would take nash on my team any day. Do you see his behind the back passes? they are crazy good and on point. He penetrates better the ball better than any other PG I have ever seen. He is definetly going in the books as one of the best PGs of all time.

Oh and this is krisfnbz, im too lazy to log out of my friends account

again please read.... as i stated i know dirk blew in the playoffs but he was the regular season mvp.... i know its hard to look at him that way now after seeing how much he sucked in the playoffs but he was the most valuable player in the league during this regular season... get off your knees and give lebron a break he'lll need it when he gets owned by the pistons
I said there were many other players that deserve it, never said just LeBron. But, will say I think he does deserve it just as much. Had more pts, more assists, more steals, does as much for his team as Dirk does. Take LeBron off Cleveland and they really ****! Hell I know that. Take Dirk off Dallas, still have Terry and Howard and would still be able to win quite a few games. Like I said the system is flawed, period. Its true, he was the best player on the best team, but so what! MVP should be who makes his team go and puts up mad numbers and people like Kobe, James, Nash hell even throw in Melo and Iverson, Garnett, and a slew of others are more valuable than Dirk to their respectful teams. Like I said as long as you are the best player on the best team then you should get it? System is flawed!

I agree, the system is flawed.

The MVP should not go to the player with the best stats period. The MVP should be decided after the season ends and the finals winner is decided. I believe either nash or james should have been the MVP this season. Eventhough dirk is an outstanding player, obviously he didnt lead his team past the 8th seed warriors.(which nobody gave them a chance, but the reason why they were the 8th seed to begin with is because half of their players were injured throughout the season although it was still a big upset.) Nash should have won it 3 times in a row, and If i remember correctly he would have been the only player to do so.

It doesnt matter really because the Pistons are going to win it all. The only team that stands a chance against them is the spurs, and I think detroit will have home court on them unlike last time when they lost in 03, or was it 04? I dont know.

And the pistons are my favorite team. Go pistons!!

dirk didn't have the best stats. he wasn't top 10 in rebounds, assists or points. also you bring up the warriors, this award was voted on right after the regular season before dallas lost to golden state. it is a regular season award.

detroit will not have home court advantage against san antonio, only against utah, and it was 05 they played san antonio

and bigbang wtf you talking about garnett for mvp? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif the wolves sucked with him, and would **** without him
