Cap was bad, motor was going, needed coils cleaned. $1000 with a 3 year maintenance to clean coils 2x a year.....fuck

Seeing that I looked up the motor and part alone was 300, normal for cleaning is 250 here. Not much I could do but could have been worse

what voltage motor and hp? cap is gonna be like 10 bucks, and clean it yourself, buy decent duct tape cut hole in your return by coil, turn off power spary some simple green or other no harsh cleaner on it use light pressure from garden hose, take side panel off at coil repeat process less then 30 mins or so to clean, and make sure you use a decent filter changed out every 30 days or so and youll be fine to need a cleaning once a year
