With going active, is it necessary to have an external crossover or can you use the amps crossovers in conjunction with the headunit?

You should at least get an Epicenter, just incase you want to get it a little lower and deeper. It worked great when I had my 4 12s" sealed.

you can whatever you like, but it's nice to have all the controls at your finger tips.

depends upon your HU/amp xover points as you need to create a bandpass for the mids and also most amps won't let you HP the tweets high enough.

Does that 6 channel have a BP option? the 4 channel Zeus I grabbed does, but the xover points are too low to do any good.
