Tom Tom audio - main speakers

Basically i wanna be able to play the voice navigation through my main speakers. The sound doesn’t have to stop it can still run in the back ground.

The audio out is from the pda’s is 2.5m phono socket.

I have a couple of ways of inputting the sound but not sure if it will work or which option is best

I have a external aux audio sony in box XA ??? (forgot which one) which i use as the aux in for my ipod. could i use some y rca leads and patch onto that input?

or i could wire it into one of my amps or into the back of the HU

so is it possibe to get some y leads and just bodge a extra input onto an amp or the sony aux box. is there an adaptor i can use to block any interference or is this a complete no no???. I could just give it its own separate aux in but then i would not be able to play any tunes and have the navigation at the same time.

when i saw your name i though req always comes to my aide. (not today lol)

i have got tom tom sat nav. i want to take its audio output and input it into my HU. can i get some Y rca leads and take 2 inputs and put them into one. so when my ipod is playing i also get my sat nav voice over the top of the tune.

just wondering if there is some sort of deviceto stop any audio going the wrong way, because the ipod will be sending an input to the pda and vice versa. dont want to harm either of them.

because that (in theroy) should work, and there shouldnt be any feedback to the other thingie.

sorry i thought it was a U.S company. It's the main gps software company in Europe. lol

BTW thats the set up i was thinking of. apart from i might put it into my aux in box

ok at the moment my pda is giving out the directions but its really hard to hear, i want it to go through my HU as simple as that
