I need some help/advice ... Allright , so this is where im at . I currently have (2) AQ 15 inch sd2.5c's ran off an AQ2200d in my Jeep Cherokee. Im looking to upgrade a bit more but while still having the option of using my AQ2200 in the next setup . My current setup did a 156.1 at the kick on a AC mic so im looking into possibly 18's for the next setup . I have 10.5 cu/ft to work with if I use precision ports . I was looking into the MJ-18m's but was not to familuar on their output . They are efficient as all hell but I know they were not built with the intent of spl#'s . If someone can suggest different subs or just state their opinions any help would really make my decision alot easier . I appreciate any input . Thanks

well there are the obvious choices..BTL, HDC3 18", Treo, DD..

whats your budget and whats your power? I love the MJ-18"s, but they wouldn't be my first choice if I wanted a crazy loud car.

10 cubes is enough for a 21in Death Penalty
2 18"s have moar cone area //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif

And he can get away with 2 18"s in 10.5 cubes using aero's, it'll be tight but it can be done.

If you want to keep the 2200D and not upgrade or strap them, you can go with 2 18" Q's or BL's, or some 18 proto's, you have tons of options depending on budget.

Trying to stay around $500 for the subs . This is my daily driver so yea , I have the AQ2200 installed and will most definitly stay with it .

Ok..well maybe look for 2 used hdc3 18"s? I think they would be in that range. Not too familiar with the Fi pricing so maybe look at the BL or Q's? A lot of companies around make great equipment so just go search around.

actually id recommend going with 15"s because in a box that size they would be more efficient with that power than getting 2 18"s in there.

39hz .. with 850 to each sub .. Used a 48hz sine sweep .
I almost find that hard to believe. A lot of people running HDC3's tuned higher than that with more power are just breaking 150's.

But hey, if its the truth, that's a sick nasty score! Pics of your setup?

we tested 2 15" DD99Zs and got .3 dB louder than the 2 18" DD99Zs. The air volume just worked beter for the 15s.

So be sure that your box volume will work and dont be surprised if your SPL goes down.
