To improve sound quality in car

I'll try to look for DEH-80PRS, Unfortunately i can't find it yet and perhaps i'll not find it in egypt.

thanks guys for all suggestions, But there's one thing i really want to understand.

why is the surrounding sound with the cassette adapter much better? it's just like when you listen to music through earbuds and hear the surroundings in songs, so that's what happen in car speakers as well (it was so clear in the rear speakers). but now there's nothing happen for such surroundings with my new cd receiver. i'd like to know the reason behind that.

I bought a new pioneer cd receiver and two pioneer speakers (500w) with adding pioneer 2 channel Amplifier 400w, I bought the head-unit first and though the sound was awful compared with my older setup and the sound turned from bad to worst after buying new speakers and Amplifier (My older setup was only my car factory stereo with gigaware cassette adapter and connecting my phone & ipod touch). I was really supprised with the good sound quality of gigaware, which all other people can argue with me or disagree on that matter. I can agree about many problems with any cassette adapter, But i cant use it now becuase my head unit is only for cds or aux usb cables. To explain more about the sound i want (I got an information about the gigaware stereo head that made from crystal, which make really good sound). I was hearing the surroundings on songs much better (like voices or other sound turn from right to left speakers), I can hear the voices in more clearer sound and the playing of any instrumentals was higher and sounds like it played in the same room not getting out from the speakers.

So, Is there any solution to get such sound quality in my car receiver? I did many searching and only what i found is to buy Audio Receiver such as Arcam MiniBlink or other devices with built-in DAC chip which will improve sound quality. Did any one tried these products in car before? I don't know if i will get the benefit of DAC chip when connecting it through aux cable?

any help please before buying and waste more money. cheers
i withnessed pioneers headunits decline in SQ over a few years.

I used to be a pioneer fanatic becasue of the features and cool displays. i got a 7800Mp for 420 and it died 3 years later. once i went to get a new deck i listened of course to the pioneers. man after i heard the alpine and kenwood units and now i refuse to buy any unit pioneer offers except the PRS 880 and im **** sure the new very highend stage 4 gear is great. alpine eclipse and kenwood all blew the pioneers away.

i ended up getting a x991. honly **** it was one of the best/nicest decks ive ever heard/had. it was up there with the NEW p99rs.

that being said YES there is room for improvement.

now to the other issues.

Im going to blame the signal being feed and the speakers more so than the CD player. have you used a orginal high quatitly CD in the player yet? how did you install the speakers? how did you wire them? what exactly is the problem?

maybe an american dealer can ship to you..

riiight. you have zero idea what a proper SQ head unit can do.

are you slightly stupid? just throwing a high end headunit in isn't going to fix the problem. really it's only going to complicate his matters worse. you have to take baby steps with uninformed people on a low budget. years of actually selling products to the very same type of customer hasn't taught me anything at all //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif

I didn't use any orginal high quality CD in the player yet, I should try this out but what'll do with getting better sound with connecting my i-pod. i bought the i-pod to use it in the car.

how did you install the speakers? how did you wire them? I didn't do anything with myself, so i don't know any info about that, actually i had a problem and went back to the car stereo shop again, I noticed that the front speakers are not getting the same sound after putting the amplifier throught the rear speakers, the owner told me that is fine because the amp. i don't have any idea if this is okay or not.

what exactly is the problem?

The problem is that the sound is very bad, I was happy with the sound quality with my older stereo but had some trouble with it and the cassette adapter as well. I'd like to improve the SQ using my i-pod and i'm not using any cd's at all.

i tested all the sound quality in aux - usb - bluetooth, and all of them had a different sound. for me the best sound i can get is from the bluetooth.

what i want is to hear the surrounding sound on songs played in the rear speakers because i can't notice this option at all now, and to hear the voices or singing in more clearer sound, Also to improve the sound of instrumentals.

Why setting for mediocre when the guy asks for sound quality. You sound like one of those hard headed brick and mortar guys that just care about the money. You are already condescending to the OP and others on this thread from the get go.

Something must have happened in the installation that caused you to lose stereo sound. You might have stuff hooked up completely wrong if the current head unit cant provide that. Hook up a 9 volt battery to each speaker to check its phase, if it goes in or out, all of them need to be popping in the same direction. Make sure your head unit wiring is correct and front left is front left, front right is front right

if you're talking about the wires, which one? the cd receiver or speakers or both.

but I don't think it's about the speakers because i bought only cd receiver first and it was gone after that. maybe the surrounding sound an option not included in this cd receiver and not something involve the wires, i'm not sure!!!!

EVERY receiver has stereo sound. Your receiver wiring is wrong if you don't have it. My sister has the US equivalent of your receiver, the fh-x700bt (same build, features and internal parts, just different labeling with the model number) and she has stereo sound. instruments on the right, left, front rear all has seperation

no i don't just care about the money, otherwise i wouldn't be here offering input for free. you really aren't digging yourself out of the slightly stupid hole with that one. the best part though is you start offering up suggestions that there is an installation issue which is more what i suspected all along, also why i offered a better install option that would provide better results. SQ holds multiple meanings. competition level and just your average run of the mill person, it just has to sound good to their ear which is mostly in comparison to their level of experience. reading comprehension is key here, the OP is comparing a cassette adapter to his new HU with AUX input. competition SQ is clearly not what he is talking about which is why the 80prs is a silly suggestion, my experience trumps your prs80 fanboyism. you basically told him to just throw money at the problem as if that will fix it, it will only dig his hole deeper.

to the OP, pics of your install will go a long way. could you post some?

I can't find 80prs around here and i don't think i'll order something like that from outside, so please can we forget about it for a while.

i'll get some pics for my install asap, but please tell me how to do it? to roll back the head unit and picture the wires, what about speakers? just tell me how and i'll get some pics very soon as i can.

Take out the head unit and show us pics of the wiring, upload photos to IMGUR.com and copy and paste the BBC code on the right side of the imgur photo upload and paste it onto this thread.

Did you install it yourself or someone else install it? take some pics of the wiring diagram you used too.

someone else install it, what's the wiring diagram?

what about the sound of front speakers, i noticed a huge sound drop after the amp installed. i'm using the factory speakers so that's the normal situation or there's something wrong?

you had some horrible installers then. Everything is wrong. I'd avoid that shop from now on.

We all need to take a step back...baby steps are needed and some basic education is also needed.

I've already posted this problem needs to start at step one by looking at exactly how it has been connected and set up. Unfortunately the poster has absolutely no knowledge of the very basics and doesn't seem to want to educated himself, instead relying on someone that appears to have screwed up the install from the get go.

My suggestions: Go to a site such as Crutchfield.com and look up your head unit and the wiring diagram so you will see exactly where each wire/connector goes. Use google/etc. search for "how to install a stereo" if you don't want to use crutchfields info so you can learn. Check each wire from the head unit to make sure it is connected correctly and if not connect it where it should go.

Don't return to the initial installer...apparently something is wrong and they are not helping...and you aren't helping yourself either by not educating yourself.

Find another installer and ask questions...ask a friend, etc. who may know more than you...

Educate yourself, it is really easy, and stop talking about how good your previous system sounded and your fixation with returning to that day...it is gone as you've said it had problems...

Many have offered good advice and suggestions and you've basically ignored them all...good luck
