To fuse or not to fuse

Going to order my 0 for my big three soon. Question is should I be fusing the alt to batt wire? My normal up front batt is in the trunk if that helps. Also should I keep the oem wire? It's like 6g lol.

I would.

keep the stock wires and add the o gauge. fusing is up to you, and how confident you are in ur install. plus u run the risk of starting a fire if you get in a accident.

i dont now, but i keep a close eye on my volt meter. i had it fused but the block had a short in it

Always keep factory wiring. And it wouldn't hurt to have a fuse. Not a life or death thing. Unless.... you know.... you have a short and die in a car fire.

Fuse it rather safe than sorry and like others have said if you get in an accident it could save your ride. If you dont fuse it, it could turn a fender bender into your car burning to the ground.

Fuse. Easier to replace a fuse that costs a couple dollars than something expensive, or maybe even having to replace the entire car!!

If your going with that long of a run I would fuse both ends.

yep leave all factory wiring in place!

exactly what I was thinking, perfect example! and as long as you use a nice large anl fuse it won't hinder the up-grade all that much.
