Tinting car tail lights?

thats probably a good thing. Cause having to ship your own and shit leaves you without tail lights for a good 1 1/2 to 2 weeks. Mine however were done in 4 hours at a shop. I paid 150 for it. I know some shops that charge 300

It's nice to have a backup set in case I ever get a "fix-it" ticket.

i used black base coat and clear. Although i didnt do my tails, i did all my markers and 3rd brake light. Just took some wetsanding the paint would stick. I wish i had a better pic but u can see the markers in this one.

if ure gonna do it do it right, i crashed a couple of years ago bcuz the ******* infront of me had his tinted so bad that i couldnt see the turn signal or the stoplight

I have 20 % tint on my front light and tail lights... I didnt want to go to dark... and i did it myself.. Looks reall good,, If there wasnt 4 ft of snow id take pics...

lol, im sorry..but, you crashed into him because you couldnt control your own speed...which im sure is what the citation you recieved stated.."i couldnt see the stop light because of the tinted tail-lights officer!!"

someone on another forum used VHT nightshades to do his '07 CR-V Tails. And by the way, if you know what your doing, a $15 can of VHT Nightshades can go a long way.

I used Jonstinted tails and had my tail lights COLORMATCHED and tinted!! You can actually wax and polish the tail lights! Car looks really good, and his customer service skills are pretty dang good might I add. Fast turn around time. Quite a few people on the car forums have used him.

done use ventshade. that shit is junk.. just go to autozone or murray;s and get a roll of tint, and just get a razor and a squegee*spelling* and do it yourself.. it will be under 20 bucks for front and rear lights.. its what i did,, and its the cheap tint to, No bubbles or nothing..

The tint is fine... but it will never look nearly as good as paint.

Yea, you're right, because you can ALMOST stop when you pick out a car 10 ft infront of you and you think you have another car length at least before you have to stop.

If you have your lights blacked out and someone rear ends you it's going to be your fault, period, unless you have one good lawyer to fight it.

There are people out there, too, who'll tint them bastards so dark shit like that happens, which is why they get cited and whoever crashed into them gets of scott free.

for $30 shipped it was not bad at all. Will get some pics tomorrow during the day if you guys want. Took about 30 minutes for the whole process and in my opinion it looks sick. Got 20% for the back but personally i think its stupid to tint the front, why decrease you visibility at night //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif and the good thing with these is that they are reusable, so if you get pulled over you can just peel em off and put em back on when you get home.
