tint or alarm first???

so if i went with an alarm , would you guys hide the led that comes with it or make it easily visable?

i mean reasoning is if its hidden that wont know i have an alarm, but if they see i have an alarm then they will know i have something to keep protected...

any good alarms in the 350$ range?

Just get an alarm, put the indicator LED somewhere in plane sight when you look in through the drivers side window, take your faceplate inside at night, and keep the inside spotless/ or a little trashed up but with absolutely nothing valuable in sight. I have to park in a parking lot an all I got is a viper like 5002 or something. No window tint whatsoever, never have a problem and there have been a couple cars stolen the past year. Knowing there is an alarm to a crook is like knowing your going to get some kind of std from that hooker, it just dont make sense to go through with it.

Plus with the 2-ways you can at least know when your alarm is going off and not have to run outside everytime you hear that familiar siren in the middle of the night.

id make it shown, if they see the led blinking i would say theyd move on thinking you have an alarm. if they dont see it they will still break something to get in and then when the alarm sounds stop.

Plus they would most likely have to break into the trunk or if its an suv get in the back to get anything worth value, unless they straight boost your car, then ignition/starter kill comes in handy to slow em down enough to let the blaring siren and flashing lights and hopefully, if you live in a nice enough neighborhood, nosy neighbors take a peak and call the 5-0, either of which will most likely scare them away .

grab a viper 5900 online brand new for 173 shipped. You can then get the proxmity sensor for about 35 bucks shipped so 210 and then to install most shops charge about 150 for the alarm and 40 for the proxmity. However you could do the proxmity yourself. You also have remote start with that alarm. It will cost you 20 bucks for the bypass if your car needs one and 40 to install but that too isnt too hard and can do it yourself

So if a shop does it all 230 basically and 230 for the componets looking at 460 total or 380 if you install the two yourself
