tint or alarm first???

well as you may know my car just got broken into but non of my audio equip was stolen. but now im worried about it even though my equip will be insured shortly.

well i wanna do a little security upgrade and am debating on what to do/save for first.

i look at it, like if you have tint and a criminal can not see what you have, it may not be appealing to him or know whats in there to see if he wants it.

with that said, what would you recommend on tint considering the laws in my state (michigan). it would be on a black 05 pontiac grand prix gt //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

and what would someone recommend for an alarm that is very good within a 350$ budget?

I did Tint first but wished i did Alarm first.

I had my car parked and saw guys staring into my truck looking hard through the windows

for a Alarm get a DEI product (Viper Python Clifford, Avital, AutoCommand, Ready Remote, Autostart and Astroflex) with 2 way paging also get a proximity sensor

In all honesty, you probably should get an alarm first. I have had good luck with Autopage recently but I install my own alarms. Too many of the local shops do it as fast and as expensive as possible with the brain in an easy to reach location, hence easily defeated by a thief.

I recommend you go with a battery backup, some internal pain generator sirens, and something other than a just shock sensor with door/hood/trunk switches. The Autopage SIS-12 infrasonic sensor or the DEI 509U ultrasonic sensor is a great add on, provided you don't leave your windows cracked, sunroof open, etc.

To bad in IL no tint is allowed. They have ripped it out of my car 2 times... Plus 2 tickets to boot.

Get an alarm and keep your car really clean, that way it will look like you don't have anything to steal.

If you tint it they will think your trying to hide something, which sucks because tint mkes every car look better...

If you do tint, keep it light enough that potential thieves can look inside and see nothing to steal. (hopefully).

Alarm man, thief dont even want to bother with alarms. They just move to the next car that doesnt make ANY noise.
