Time to install RAAMmat. Man this shit is sticky!

your gonna love your ride dead. go around the whole car and 'tap' it with your knuckle, or a wooden screwdriver handle or something.if there is ANY 'resonance ringing or noise' put some rammat on that area.do every area you can get to.personally i believe that deadening is the best thing anyone can do in car audio.do it all do it properly, search for noisey pannels look hard for them, any noisey pannel you can deaden will give you a quieter ride, and when your ride is quiet you can hear so much detail in all the music.you will love it, and the better job you do, the more you will love it.dont cheat, do it all, even if you have to order another roll.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/up2something.gif.dd110ecf3ae4b76050d87598f2f8de7c.gif maybe even 2 or 3 layers in some areas if that area is very noisey.

I thought someone on here was complaining on here about SS was melting on them?? Or maybe it was a different brand of deadener.

Maybe it was eDead that someone was complaining about.

also, i put my rammat in the oven for an hour or so to get it nice and soft, not a high temperature just warm, once the matt is warm it is so easy to apply. just protect your oven with an old bakeing tray or something.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif

Maybe its ALL install dependent. Apply it sloppily you get sloppy results. Apply it correctly it gives you good results. I'm not claiming to know anything about it since I've always used deadener of the spray type but as with anything in the world of car audio, its all install dependent to a point.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

I read it and he said he had "tar on the window"...that sounds more like an install problem than anything. I have them on all four of my doors, in central FL and have the windows down constantly with no problems whatsoever. Even so, is that your only documented case of melting? If so, 1 out of the however many that have used it is a negligable case.

this stuff is said to melt in your trunk, can mess ur amps up. read reviews. Second skin is better IMO
I don't want anybody to start talking shit about this because I personally do not know if it is true or not but...
I also heard that this stuff does melt and become a pain in the *** to deal with. I heard that in the hot summers we have here in Florida (100+ degrees easily, every day inside a car) the glue melts and becomes a pain in the ***. Again, I do not know if this is true.

okay genius's.... here is one of the forums with them... there are many http://forum.elitecaraudio.com/showthread.php?threadid=97228

it melts.
Okay genius...you are finding links to threads that are well over a year old. The new Raammat is a different product than what was being sold then.

Learn to think before you speak.

That and the fact that finding 10 people with issues out of the thousands of feet that were sold hardly constitutes conclusive evidence.

PS: Read the sound deadener showdown that was posted. Raammat BXT didn't even begin to have issues until 240*
