The more I read, the more I realize....I may have to get 2 18's. I have about 9cu net to work with. My first thought was 15's, but I plan on running my subs a lil over rated rms. An Iv read tht a smaller box helps handle high power.

Now here's my situation, if I go with 18's....start with 2 Obsidian's, which are rated 600wrms, on a zxs1500 @2ohm. Aftr elec upgrades, get 2 HDC3's rated 1500wrms on a Q1-3500 @1ohm. Can I do this with 1 box? Am I missing anything? Or shud I go with the 15's, same I idea....

Go with 15's. Even 18's that don't require much room need at least 5 - 5.5 cubes a piece. If you had 11-12 cubes you could probably pull it off, though I don't have any experience using the OA-18's so I can't say for sure what they like.

Shud I have sum1 design a box so I can see wat I'm really working with? My cabin is 45x40 an I'm thinking a 45x30x15 box shud be perfect....I'm not for certain what displacement will be but I used .25 an that gave me 8.8 net. Hope that's over kill, I'm liking the idea of 18's....

You don't have the space for 18's. IMO after you figure enough room for the port to not be crowded into a wall you're not even optimum for high output 15's
Well the 30" sets me 10" from rear door, u think that's enough? An I shud use HDS's on 2200 instead of the HDC's on 3500?

10 should be OK. I've heard a few reports of the HDS's failing due to junk tier Chinese coils they use.

I think you'd really do well to get a pair of 15" HDC3's build a box double wall all around triple wall on top with subs flush mounted, use DD or SQ box specs for whatever volume you wind up with and they'll get very loud. It'll do way better than trying to cram 18's in there.

Thts a chunky box....il end up with ~7cu net. Is that enough?

OK, go for bracing over wall thickness if it brings you down that small, Shoot for at least 8.5 cube for the pair and then use DD/SQ box specs to create port.
