I have used both singer and mechman in the same power range. 250 6phase singer and a 240 mechman. While the mechman is a stout alt i have my doubts as to it clamping 240. As for the singer i clamped it at 276 amps when i ran out of stuff to turn on to draw more current. Mechmans customer service blows. I had a issue with my alt not charging at 14.8 like my stock alt as well as all my dash lights are now on. Matt took two weeks to answer back only to tell me 14.0-13.8 was normal for hondas (bullshit stock charges at 14.8) my eld no longer works which is my fault according to matt and the lights are my fault as well. Mike singer is awesome when it comes to his customer service. My money will go to mike in the future. I vote singer.

My stock alts charge at 14.4 and my two 350amp singer alts I had charged at 13.8volts... So singer is the same way chargin low.

Called ford. They only show one alternator for the 2.0 duratech engine.

Part number 10346(GL-934) Didn't have any in stock to measure though.

IDK Why two would show up for mine. DC also shows one alternator fits both the 05-10 Focus and 05-08 Escape.

DC wants $600 for a 270.. I can get a Singer 320 for $570. But I know the DC will fit cause another focus basshead on YouTube has a DC 270.

Think a 270 would be enough for 5k RMS?

The mechman 270 is a 6 phase for $450.

Not sure if the singer alts are 6 phase or not.

Mechman just got back with me and their 6 phase only does 140 amps at idle.. Not going to cut it..

The DC 270amp is looking like a winner now.. 6 phase hairpin. 200amps at idle. $604 shipped.

The singer is a 6 phase as well. I can do a dc alt as well if needed
