Spend my money for me! Worried I will get a large case Singer and it won't fit..

Kinda between saving money and going with Mechman or the small case 320amp Singer.

I have used both singer and mechman in the same power range. 250 6phase singer and a 240 mechman. While the mechman is a stout alt i have my doubts as to it clamping 240. As for the singer i clamped it at 276 amps when i ran out of stuff to turn on to draw more current. Mechmans customer service blows. I had a issue with my alt not charging at 14.8 like my stock alt as well as all my dash lights are now on. Matt took two weeks to answer back only to tell me 14.0-13.8 was normal for hondas (bullshit stock charges at 14.8) my eld no longer works which is my fault according to matt and the lights are my fault as well. Mike singer is awesome when it comes to his customer service. My money will go to mike in the future. I vote singer.

Right now I'm just between the Large case 270 and the small case 320. Large case does 200 amps at idle. Small case 270 does 170 and the small case 320 does 180..

But the price of the large case 270 is super close to the 320. So IDK if its worth going with 20 more amps at idle or 50 more amps at speed...

Could even do with the small case 270 but I would need to keep the idle up when playing full tilt at idle(rare)

If the large case fits i would get it. Its gonna be more durable as the cooling will be more efficient. The number one killer of alternators is heat. If you need that last 50 amps you can always get a small battery.

I almost guarantee that that 180A idle rating will be more like 200 on the small case. My 275A Singer puts out almost 300A and a little over for peak draw so they come in quite underrated. Between him and Jim, the customer service is amazing.
