time for a new car

Yeah. These are one of few cars put out that would take out the Domestic V8's, along with the Turbo Supras, and almost anything else around. They were built to compete with the Porche 911 turbos.

They can make crazy high horse power, and you can put a killer nice sounding stereo in them.

I want a Z-Car.

An Audi A4 is a fancy way of saying Volks Wagen Jetta. Same motor. The ABS controller I just ordered for my girlfriend's car has VW/Audi written all over it.
The Jetta doesn't come with AWD. But you're right, a lot of the parts are shared.

Of course same thing can be said about a Tahoe and an Escalade

none in the area
check around theres allwasy one around. Check z32 forums. Alot of Z fanatics wont sell them over craigslist and autotrader. There such fanatics about these cars that they only list them on there website. So give em a look see, i bet you can find one within 75 miles.

I thought you could get the Jetta in AWD. I could be wrong though. They do have the same traction control system as the Audi's.

That is the exact scinario. Same drive train and everything, just more luxuries.

Nope, I've been looking at Jettas and haven't seen any with AWD. That might have changed with the new ones, but the last gen had no aWD.

However, the Passat GLX came with AWD. Basically the same as an A6, they just renamed Quattro to 4Motion and switched up the sheet metal

Private is better, work at a lot, car out of warr. and chits out your just a s.o.l. as w/ private, no matter what just have the car looked at, once you drive a used car away your a wrap.

I disagree. This winter, the rear end on my roomate's truck blew up. When he took it in to an independent shop, the mechanic said that it had no differential fluid in it, which means somebody had it apart and never refilled the fluid. The rear end hadn't been touched since he bought the truck and, since his purchase contract stated that the dealer was supposed to have inspected that, the dealer ended up paying the $1700 to replace the rear end.

You might end up paying more at a dealership, but there are certain safeguards there that you can't get dealing with private parties. Best bet is to get something a bit older that is certified and comes with a warranty.

Well if it something that dumb they probably would help ya out, though they dont have to, nor do many people have the resources to make them.

Though if you buy a audio and the clutch goes out 500mi after you buy it, you arnt going to get anything.

The illusion of integrity, that's right up there with "airport security" all image.

it makes more sense to me and my parents to buy something from a dealership, because most ofthe time they offer some sort of warranty if its only 10000 miles blah blah free oil change whatever its just safer to deal with a lot then a private party

If it states in the purchase contract that they did/were supposed to do something, and something happens proving that it wasn't done, they are legally obligated to fix it. Dealerships aren't exactly in the business of handing out money. In all reality, he probably could have sued them for a good amount. The claim that their negligence put his life in danger could be successfully argued by any competent lawyer.

Besides, if you deal with a private party, you have pretty much no recourse beyond the 30-day lemon law.
