You are obviously proud of your scores, and that's fine, but it does not change the facts. Any component added to the signal chain will add noise. Look up your EQ's specs, notice that is has a S/N ratio (if the published specs are thorough). This is a measurement of its noise level. While that spec may or may not be accurate, it is a testament to the fact the component generates its own level of noise.If that was a problem, its not showing up on my scoresheets ... Modified class or Supermod Class.
In other words, with technology available to humans currently, it is impossible to make a component that modifies the signal chain without adding its own noise to the signal while doing it.
I still fail to understand why you have an EQ installed that you apparently have adjusted to seem as transparent and ineffective as possible. If you just wanted the xover functions, you had much better options to choose than an in-dash EQ.
