Threw my box in yesterday.

External aeroports:)
I considered it. I almost almost went with aero's, but I had the space to go with [relatively] free slot ports, so I did. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/cool.gif.3bcaf8f141236c00f8044d07150e34f7.gif
External.... lol. Im now considering turning my s-10 blazer (that this stuff was all gonna go in) into an SPL truck. If I do that, look for external aero's for sure.

Once you go aero, you don't go back:D

Oh Ive used and been around aero's for years. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif Slots have their advantages too... so if you can easily live with their disadvantages, why not? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
Im actually wishing Id built the box slightly bigger now anyway. lol If Id gone 1-1/2" higher I wouldn't have to make a trim panel for the back that goes under the bottom of the rear window. I even drew this all up on CAD and I missed that detail... Im slipping. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

One question

is your box secured in anyway? and if so do you have any photos of how its secure ..

trying to get a general idea how im going to secure my box because the bench walll seems rather thin to be drilling into..

Nope, not secured down yet. Wont do that until everything is mounted to it and its ready to be mounted down permanent. Gonna bolt it down to the floor. On the rear wall Im undecided as of yet, or if it necessarily needs it. I need to take a serious look at it today or tomorrow actually. I suppose I could weld in something to mount to if needed.

I'm actually working on CAD drawings for school right now:crap: I wouldn't switch back to slot unless I knew exactly what I wanted to for daily. I also plan to compete regularly in Meca, and I feel that aero's have a huge advantage for fart boxes.

You make some good points. By the time I build the next box I think I'll have a way to make my own flare ports.
And thankyou mile098.

Hey Audio did you just use regular AutoCAD to do that last drawing with the woofers in the box? Well, that and the pic in ur avatar? Props if you drew that up in CAD:D

Im usually not one for making videos. But if this system turns out well, I'll make up one for you guys. Thanks again for all the replies guys. And if anyone has anything negative to add or constructive criticism/better ideas, Im always open for suggestions.
Well then in that case, you should have went with all Elemental Designs //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/hilarious.gif.02a037aad04aa96f19982b298a3d70a8.gif
