Thoughts on the Pioneer X5600bhs?

I have the AVH-X5500BHS and it's a decent deck. If you're looking for HD radio, Bluetooth, Ipod controls, Back up camera, decent wattage on 3 pairs of RCS's it's a good deal. I got mine refurbed for like $150 off so I can't complain about the price. It doesn't have a lot of the controls the audiophile guys like but for your basic system it should be fine. If you want to spend less money thee JVC arsenal 75 has most the same features but it's a single din.

Thanks for the info negolien.

Do you know what the changes were between the 5500 and the 5600? From what i can see in the specs, just the ipod compatibility has changed. Are the screen setups the same? Does the 5500 have any lag when you push buttons on the touchscreen like some double dins do?

I agree with the above and no I have no lag. The only negative would be no timing and limited EQ function but I don't use that stuff anyways. I run a pair of Polk DB461's, a pair of super tweets, Infinity Kappa 693.11i's and a pair of MTX JH45's with two Kenwood amps a KAC-8105D and a Excelon x400-4 with a Clarion CC510. For the price probably my favorite non nav dd.
