Thoughts and suggestions for my first system

Alright so it looks like ill go with the MB Quart for the amp to power my components. Now what about the amp for my sub? How many watts should it be? Should I stick with hifonics and mbquart?

I would probably do a matching amp for the subhttp://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_17761_MB+Quart+DSC+1500.1D+-DSC1500.1D-.html

you chose some good stuff, although, dont forget the importance of a proper install. you may need to spend a little on deadener to seal up your doors.
Thanks for the info. Yea I was planning on getting deadener for the doors, there is already a substantial rattle in one of my doors and that is with everything stock so I know I need to do that. Do you think I should pay a professional to do the install for me? I dont really have any idea how to install this stuff. I was going to do it with a friend, but maybe I should just pay someone to install it.

If your doing all of this for your first time it will be a lot of work. Your biggest problem will probably be running the power and speaker wire throughout the car (doors and firewall) or installing the head unit, but if you take your time and have all the necessary tools, then you should be able to handle it yourself.

Paying someone to do it all for you will cost hundreds of dollars (at least), so if you don't want to spend the money, and are willing to do a lot of reading walkthrus on the internet, then i would recommend doing it yourself.

Alright so here is my revised system:

Sub: 12" JBL GTi MKII

Amp for Sub: MB Quart DSC 1500.1D

Component System: Alpine SPX-17PRO

Amp for Component System: MB Quart DSC 480

Head Unit: Pioneer DEH-P4100UB

What else will I need to get all this stuff installed? I know I need an amp kit, but what kind should I get? And I'll probably invest in some deadener as well.

If you dont mind spending a little more on the sub stage, I would reccomend the Incriminator Audio Flatlyne. If SQ is your ultimate goal, then this sub will be perfect. You would need to match it up with a different amp however. A smaller mono amp running at 1 ohm would work as would a bridgable two channel.
Flatlyne:

Well im willing to look at a different sub, but Ive never heard of the Flatlyne subs before. Id need to look at some reviews to find out more about them.

Go with the GTI if you can get it.. You wont be let down.. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif Not because its JBL alone, but because its a bad ass sub, handles extreme power well over the RMS power...

Yea thats what Ive read about the GTi. Its supposed to have a very accurate deep bass which is what Im looking for. Im not looking for just a loud sub that sounds like crap.

by the way alot of the equipment i offered you isnt used it mostly all new with warrantys but i can replace the kicker amp with a new hifonics 2610 for a 100.00 more. the sub and all the speakers are new,the deck is new it just doesnt have a warranty any more, but never been installed.you should probably come by and at least see what i can show you before you make up your mind. and also if something happens to the new stuff it would be alot easier to warranty out than shipping it back and waiting.like i said i am tthe only digital designs dealer in the bay area and i have all this right now if you want to see it , its cool if you want to buy online just good luck,ps i can install too

Looks like you could raise the back seat maybe 2 to 2-1/2" use longer seat bolts and washers and frame/mold in the under carriage cavity of that...
