Surround looks fine, its just excess glue, you need that when you are launching woofers.

would it help in a lower powered setup like mine? i mean, i don't see/feel any air leak around...

some use duck tape too, it just look nasty

no it isnt for leaking, just for keeping it glued in place. .

So first day of testing is in

Lanzar Vibe 1800 @ 4 ohm (less than 400 watts)

Box facing forward pushed all the way back against the trunk lid 140.0 43hz

Box pushed forward with a partial seal 141.1 @ 43hz

More tests coming

Cut port length down 2 inches 141.3 @ 44hz.
