So the second amp at 2ohms nominal failed also? Weird if so. I have no experience with anything above a 7k2d so I can't speak for the 9kd, 11kd, 14kd but everything below especially the 4k2d and 2k5d (different design) have never had a failure. And we still use ours for daily music. Good luck and hope they get it figured out.

I know its hard to believe but the amp never saw anything less than 12.4. I'm positive it wasnt voltage drop.
It just died when switched on

well i was gonna say go with 4 amps but i see what you saying about the strain on the electrical an more resistance on your car's charging system. so 2 would be understandable. since you can run those atomics at .5 ohm why not get a maxxlink strap both those amps at 1ohm a pc, thats .5 ohm i think strapped, with your electrical that would be good an the amps would prolly be doing close to 14000 if not that. just my suggestions.

I know your not. I just got a lil sand in my vag this week. It's been very hectic and unfortunately dissappointing. Had to rebuild car from scratch to make the show, blew 2 amps(havent done that in all the yrs I've done installs)

and the unfortunate luck that every multi point drag event I attend I leave in dissappoinment due to some crazy bad luck.

It will include extra spiders,lots of reinforcement around cone/former joint, direct tinsel leads, (maybe a taller surround ), and we're working towards a cooling option as well.

Oh yeah and of course a custom Dust Cap only available with the upgrade

Funny how all these other companys are doing the direct connect leads now like dd....I love it.....sound like the Thor edition Lvl 5 will be awesome.

need a 4" VC and larger gauge coil wire to keep it cool, plus a high tempature glue for the coil wires.

hey thor if rusty is gonna get wit you on the 'THOR UPGRADE' i love it man that would be awesome if they came with a dc logo on the dustcap with thor's hammer in the foreground or interlaced with the dc logo that would be nice lol. but anyway my suggestion would be using syder rings like rd use's on their subs with some good glue, an those things i am sure that **** ring won't rise up anymore. an if he goe's more spyders i wouldn't go reinforced i think that would need way more power than 5k to move them. but hope everything gets right. holla atcha boi.
