i love where this thread has gone in relation to the fact that no one has talked about there experience with clarion subs and or the difference between three 10's and just one twelve

I have a bmw e36 coupe... and i have an alpine mrf 200 powering front stage and rear 6x9's

Good for ghetto blasting any radio station or cd.

Again, If you want to give them a try, get them. Like them, keep them. Hate them, sell them if you are unhappy with your current sub.

Also what the hell is an MRF 200? Sure your not talking about an MRP200?

I have a rainbow components up front (sorry i figured you wouldn't think i was only running 6x9's) and the mb quarts in the rear getting powered from alpine mrp F200 4 channel amp.

Diamond D3 12 in the back in sealed enclosure (q logic box) and kar 900.1D and i just have it running off one of the mono channels. I don't think i need to bridge it although i don't quite understand it....

anyone know anything about clarion subs?

Why do you want to change is the question? You just want 3 subs over 1? Want more volume? You want to loose trunk space? Hate your current sub? What is the point?

The subs are cheap subs, nothing fancy, nothing special and will probably not give you that special bass woody your looking for but will vibrate your car, piss off old ladies and will be louder than your current single 12.

Without knowing anything about your 900.1D amp, I would have to say it is a 900watt single channel class D sub amp. That would mean... yes. You would hook up the sub or subs to the single mono channel.

well i don't know i have reason to believe the the diamond is blown... well if they are cheap subs than i guess they arent what i want and if they won't give me a good amount of bass than forget it

well i don't know if it is blown... it plays fine and gives plenty of bass but it sort of makes like a fart sounding noise but one that goes away if i hold down the outer ring on the sub.... and that is only when like ur in the trunk and the sub is facing you
