Actually LEx that was the hd3/mt hybrid that you sold me last year and i sold it to him, i never used it, it was the spider that got detatched from the coil. So it would appear that you are the bastard. HAHA J/J. Its appears to have done him som,e good though.

Any idea when the 18s are coming out? I'd do a drop in test against my MT //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
Prochobo, isn't it a property of the vented enclosures to roll-off output below tuning?

What I'm trying to say is I thought the roll-off was all box dependent? So the sub can still play loud way below tuning?

Have you ever created a graph like this for your system? Would be easy to do since you have a TL?

It's from my thread below:

Thanks...
Well, with the way the sub is designed, it excels in playing under tuning. I no longer have a Termlab, so I can't give you any results like that, sorry. The roll off is sub dependent, I had Type-Rs tuned to 40hz and they could not touch the lows of the AQ tuned at 40hz as well.

How would you say an HD3 compares to an FI BL?
Dunno, never owned one.

**** 145.6 @ the headrest....i wonder wht 2 15" HD3 off 5KW could do in an SUV??....how does the sub handle the power??
Handles power just fine, a lot of people ask that though. I treat it like one of the big boy subs //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

fux yeah 40hz ftw...actually sealed up my notes 35hz...but anything open its 40...

i

Yup //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif. I bet nobody would guess the tuning if they weren't told.

Nice vid. One of the better ones I've seen in a while. That flexin is crazy dude!

I'm glad you posted it, cuz I've always heard aq mentioned, but never really gave em any consideration. I've never seen a sub tuned that high, hit that hard down low.

Now I'm seriously thinking about buyin a 12" hd3. lol

Actually, that wasn't the real reason it was messed up. A piece of metal got into one of the vents on the basket and worked its way into the gap which caused the scratch. I didn't find out untill I actually pulled the VC out and looked in the gap. I didn't say anything to anybody because by then, everything was forgotten so just an FYI.

Ridiculousness......is that ports to drivers side?Did u find that to be best in trunk car,sub forward ports drivers side?

Again....ridiculousness

In my neon the best way without sealing off the trunk was subs on passanger side facing forward and the port on drivers side with the enclosure pushed all the way back, it was a 2-3db gain from moving it back hmmnn maybe cancellation //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif The best way is to seal off the trunk though.
