Only the Strong Survive
alright i have a huge problem as of now and that is my current system of 2 Blaupunkt overdrive 12"s sounds great when i leave the gain down at like the min. mark on the nob, then if i move it even to half the subs start to have too much excursion and pop. or at least that's what it looks and sounds like to me. only reason i am running these as of now is 1 i don't have 300 to get a 2nd amp like mine, 2 i don't have the 500 or so that it will cost for all my new wire's and box for my DD 15"s. so what do you guy's think i should do?? the subs are rated at 500watts rms and 1200max a piece. my amp at 14.4volts puts out 1000watts rms at 1 ohm which is what i am running as my setup. now i'm not upset at all with SPL seeing as how i'm hitting somewhere in the 140's with the subs and i can't even crank it all the way b/c i don't wanna blow them. so what do you think i should do if anything?? just not touch the remote gain nob and save my cash?? oh this may be a big waste of time for people to read i'm just curious if anyone has any suggestions for me other than the obvious save my money and get my DD's put in. thanks in advance.
