This idiot from another forum didn't listen.

You must own a company and HATE THE CLASSIFIEDS!!!! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/mad.gif.c18f003ab0ef8a0d9c27ca78d77a6392.gif:mad:

I don't own a company. It's just sad that people are killing the industry that we all love because people won't support thier local shops. With out any shops, the companies can't survive. If the companies can't survive, the manufactures wont make anymore product.

What makes him an idiot? The fact that he just wanted a hassle-free purchase? I'd buy all my stuff from dealers if I had the money. If he has the cash, why not?

I would still install everything myself because I enjoy it, but not everyone does.

Well now he can't buy anything because he said, he used all his money on car audio. I thought it was better to tell him there were more online stores and other places to buy car audio. He could of bought some better stuff from the same place as well but he didn't.

Like this I thought was a good deal from the store he got his stuff from: http://www.visions.ca/Catalogue/Category/Details.aspx?categoryId=30&productId=4827

But he bought this: http://www.visions.ca/Catalogue/Category/Details.aspx?categoryId=30&productId=3271

If you don't support your local dealer, don't expect to have much to choose from as far as car audio goes in the future.
Your logic is behind the times. The internet is here to stay, and any local dealers who cant adapt, will die. Trying to blame the consumer for doing their job, finding the best deal possible, is pointless and goes against the free market system. Local dealers are not what this hobby is about, the enthusiasts are. Local dealers need to realize they should concentrate more on labor, and less on 100% profit margins from selling products for whatever their 'local monopoly' on brand names allow them.

Heh, it's not a sure thing he gets scammed here. I have been here a short time and aready have several people I woud gladly have a transaction with. I'd even send first.

I do buy some things locally just to keep my money in the local community. I pick and choose when I'll spend the little extra to have the item in my hands right away. I won't buy local if they quote me astronomical prices though...

Exactly. If you can get something from a reliable person on here. Something that is "like new" for a quarter of the price. Then go for it right?

I agree most shops bread and better are car alarms and installs. But the guy with some since if knowledge is bound to try the Internet, and if you can't compete or even match it, I'm sure you won't sale much. Yes I understand over head cost and salaries, but this is when labor comes in to play. With out saling product your bound to get less installs. It's a main rule of business ethics, adapt and change with the consumers needs. If not your bound to fail

But you still get the customers that wants to pay pennies for a professional install. I'll match most internet prices as long as I sell and install the item, but I get some customers that want to purchase an entire system and only pay $100 for install parts and labor....that ain't right //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crying.gif.ec0ebefe590df0251476573bc49e46d8.gif

youre preaching to the wrong choir.

and i dont see how its afforting us here, when probably 80-90% of us run products from online companies. if a company cant survive that means they are doing something wrong. probably trying to get 200% profit on products, doing half *** installs, and terrible customer service.

and there are a ton of teenagers that support local shops, cause they dont know any better. you cant be serious!
