...so to you, this just comes down to how u want u tax $$ spent and how I want mine spent...pretty simple concept, I think Soldiers are way under paid, VA benefits and treatments need serious attention, Public Schools should raise their standards instead of continually lowering them to accommodate a growing number of unqualified teachers....I had to teach my kid cursive handwriting techniques...my kid brings home a 66 grade and it is passing???....no homework, because they cannot bring their books home????....2 months without teaching?? btw, I hope my kid someday appreciates the 2 hrs/day she does Algebra during the summer months.

Because I believe in Creation...I do not hold to the big bang theory, or most of the other science fiction crap folks are shoving on my kid in school...She comes home freaking out about Planet X her teacher told her about...she comes home freaking out because she had to witness her Social Studies teacher (woman) in a verbally abusing argument with her PE coach (woman) because the PE coach was cheating on the Social Studies Teacher with the Vice-Principal(man).........WTF?

why do you continue to talk like this, how is having the freedom to express a religion "pushing"...how is my kid praying, pushing ANYTHING on yours??..if your child wished to stand there and stare at the wall for a moment, while my kid prays...what does it matter, aside from teaching your kid to respect for others' freedom to do so....It is the "Pushing out religion" from schools that must be stopped....which is why this whole thread is a no win situation.

Bullshit. The Supreme Court didn't take away your right to silently pray in school, they took away the school's ability to hold a class praying session. How aren't you getting this?

touche'...I did not proclaim that 10,000 years is the maximum age of anything...you did. I do believe God created all things. I understand the Holy Bible is a collection of books written by common men (some of them ex-murderers and thieves) based upon their experiences with God....and some Sciences which were once considered established has been proved false....happens all the time as we evolve consciously. I believe we share certain genetics with other species..it would make perfect sense from a creationist point of view...considering we, as Humans are the custodians of this world. But to say that you or I swam out of the ocean and stood upright and walked away into the sunset...in whatever time frame you wish..sounds preposterous to me. Especially to say it all happened by chance.
