@mast240 is my new hero. Lol.

True believers in any sense really crack me up. Christians specifically. Do you not realize that you are a VAST minority? It is so small minded and arrogant to assume you are right. The simple fact is that if you were born elsewhere, you would be having this argument about Allah or Buhdda or whatever the flavor of the month is there.

Religion is a security blanket for weak minded adults. And it is so very telling that you "found Jesus Christ" at the age you did after hitting rock bottom. Kids are forced into it and adults that can't friggin hack it in the real world resort to it.

And my kid aint staring at the wall while your kid prays. If your kid wants to pray, then he/she can flippin pray. If you want your kid taught about Creationism or whatever other faiytales you want them believing in, then teach them that crap at home.

I picked my son up the other day and out of the blue he says, "God made the whole world." I said, "Really? Prove it."

Think about how crazy Scientology is. It is full on wack job psycho bullcrap started by one dude who's been quoted as saying, "If you want to get rich, start a religion." So, he did. 2,000 years from now, people like you will be defending it as the one true religion. 2,000 years ago, the same thing happened.

What the fuck are you talking about? Since when do Creationists and Christian zealots make up all of religion? I thought I said in a few earlier posts that while I find Creationism and Christianity beyond butt-fuckingly stupid, I will not hate anyone solely for that belief. Like mast, I have a problem with actions. Much like the actions I was referring to earlier with Creationists in Texas getting rid of references to evolution because they're deciding it's a religion, when it clearly is not. What was that I said about close-mindedness?
i'm just saying that a lot of your posts read to me as "you should think for yourself and form your own opinions and beliefs, but by the way, if their different than mine, their stupid and you're wrong".

That's all.

The Supreme Court didn't interfere with religious freedom, it interfered with religious establishment taking over schools, and influencing children who are not of the same religion. It offends most people with different beliefs when schools force students to say prayers.
You can be mad all you want at science teachers for teaching science, but science isn't going away. Your fairytales have nothing to do with reality, so please keep them out of textbooks.
It is not Science that is troubling, but the Scientific Theoretical Ideas that infest and manipulate our society....I have no problem with my child being taught fact based science...just keep it to the simple provable facts....but just as you feel about religious fairytails, I feel about sci-fi fairytails being construed to manipulate the ignorant and benefit the Corrupt.

...and this very discussion is the reasoning behind the Second Amendment to the Constitution of the United States of America, my friend.

touche'...I did not proclaim that 10,000 years is the maximum age of anything...you did. I do believe God created all things. I understand the Holy Bible is a collection of books written by common men (some of them ex-murderers and thieves) based upon their experiences with God....and some Sciences which were once considered established has been proved false....happens all the time as we evolve consciously. I believe we share certain genetics with other species..it would make perfect sense from a creationist point of view...considering we, as Humans are the custodians of this world. But to say that you or I swam out of the ocean and stood upright and walked away into the sunset...in whatever time frame you wish..sounds preposterous to me. Especially to say it all happened by chance.
thank you for proving my point from many pages back... you just cant deal with the fact that everything in life is up to chance... so of course, there must be a "divine" power influencing all.

It's not science's fault that morons don't know what the word "theory" means.
