This board is JBL biased...

Originally posted by wesleysh It is very hard to beat the price vs. performance of the JBL. Not only does it put out over its rated power, its 1 ohm stable. What a deal. If they don't like the recommendation they have full right to go look for another amp.

Look out guys, these JBL haters are posting threads all over car audio boards now. But they never actually give a viable alternative to the age old JBL recommendation. Hmmm, wonder why? lol:D
No Shawn. Actualy I did give a viable option but you guys obviously don't agree and that's ok you (as I am) are intitled to your own opinion and that is ok.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Yes you are right, but you have yet to proove that your opinion is better than our facts...(I am not being sarcastic, please don't take it that way)...I have enjoyed this particular thread...it's always nice to debate amps:D

On a similar note...I heard that Soundstream was purchased by Power Acoustiks...any truth to the rumors??? Audiolife, ramos, BBM, zane, anybody???
Not sure if anybody answered this but Yes PA did buy Soundstream.

For the non JBL likers, until you can show me a class D amp for less than 270 that perfroms like the JBL, you havent proved me anything.

That's great if you guys have no one in your area who can properly demonstrate the pa 2100d then I am truely sorry for you keep living your pipe dream with your 600w rms 1200w peak power "Just Been Laughin" amp.:p :p

I have one that was bench tested by A2000 to put out 1305w RMS at 1ohm. Not trying to start anything just living my pipe dream //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

P.S. "just been laughin" is kind of corny. Can't you come up with something better than that //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

and how can you put power acoustic in the same level as jbl? jbls worst stuff ever would still be power acoustic mid to mid high line. gimme break only thing viable so far is that they did buy soundstream but they in their own right have their problems although not recently alot of people lost faith in them.........harmon international vs power acoustic is a no contest..the p a amp is decent dont get me wrong i have seen them pair with the mofo series subs and do mid 150's-low 160's which is better than the audiobahn set ups i have seen. all i can say is i know for a fact as far as support and so forth jbl would get the nod there to and it does what it says unlike 4/5's of power acoustic stuff

1200w peak??? Again, you have no proof to your statements...around here, proof is like gold...please enlighten me...

I can't find that $279 anywhere for the PA? People need to be able to get the amp from multiple sources for the same price, as well as more "well trusted"sources such as thezeb.com or ikesound.com. Where can you get these things from for a good price.

Personally I'm starting to recommend the Ultimate Digitalis whenever feasable.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

See i respected your opinion until that... if the 2100d was truly better than the jbl then you wouldn't have to lie about the jbl and say it's 600w rms. i agree the two are comparable, but you have to take more than just the amp into consideration..things like the company who manufactures it. if your trying to tell me that PA is a more reliable/respected company than JBL then you've got another thing coming

DEI amps are great. I would rather buy a used Directed or Viper amp than JBL. Directed bench around the same (maybe a lil more) and never overheat. I am running 2 12" MA audio DXI in a sealed enclosure. Only 2 250D Directed two channel amps (500 rms) are powering them and i hit 143.5 dB. JBL 1200 slam, but i still beat them with 2 low model DEI amps...

Nobody EVER said that JBL was the pure out best...of course the DEI is compairable...but what did you pay for it...I bet you paid more for it than I paid for my 1200.1;)

I paid around $200 for both of my amps combined with my friends system. Barely used and flawless condition. I think they look a lil better than JBL. That's what originally kept me from buying their 1200D //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

i would have to agree with whoever said that people on this board are rude. I am new to this board and I am only looking for advice and help, instead people nit pick on dumb *** stuff like spelling and the way i crossed my t's, help people quit *****ing this board is to help, not saying every1 of coarse but if ur one of the nit picking people who probably dont know anything so u decide to concentrate on the small stuff then just stay quite....... And I am on the Audiobahn band wagon and i have yet to see any subs to outperform the alum series subwoofers for the money, their amps are expensive but way under rated but all and all I'd have to say the amps arent worth the money but the subs are a good deal
