well i got my new 7100 and havent had any issues since but now im wanting to try something else and keep greay sound quality. i have heard some good and some bad stories about the 9887 imprint feature but it is an option. i was also thinking of the pioneer 800prs...is it out yet? what would you do? keep the eclipse or see what these others will do?

I want the 7200 they have on Woofersetc for $469. Thats a bad *** deck. The 7100 is an amazing deck. I have an 8051 installed and I love it. I'm putting in a ECD-415 soon to try it out when I get the time. Keep the Eclipse man, they are awesome decks. Hell, I want my friend's CD5000 and its no where near as nice as yours.

well with all the equipment i have how would you suggest me running it?

Eclipse CD7100

Eclipse 21010 Indash EQ

Zapco RH-13.2 comps

Eclipse SE8365 6.5

JL Audio 10W7

Zapco DC1100.1 on subs

JL Audio 300/4v2 on comps

go active on your components since you have a 4 channel. problem with that is, you'll need 4 channels for a set of 2 way components, 2 for the drivers, 2 for the tweeters, so you won't have your 6.5's amped. i'm assuming those are for rear fill? i'd run those off your deck, use the amp for your zapcos.

ok here is my question. my speaker wire to my amps is coming from behind my head unit. could i just put one side on the front output and the other side on the rear output and the crossover distribute the right wattage or would i need to run seperate wires for the mid and the tweeter from the crossover....i dont even need rear fill i dont think.

shouldnt be any speaker wire behind your head unit running to your amps. old school amps used to use those, what they call line level inputs (i think)

most amps these days will get their signals via an rca cable, which i'm assuming is what you meant. you're saying to take the pair of rcas, plug one lead into one input on channel 1/2, and another into an input on channel 3/4? no need to do that.

running fully active, you will not use the passive crossovers that came with your component set. you'll use your head unit for all the crossovers. you'll have one set of rca's for your tweeter's signal, another set for your drivers, and a third for your subwoofer amp. channels 1/2 on your amp run the tweets, channels 3/4 run the drivers. if you want some rear fill, wire up your 6.5's to your head units speaker outputs.

ok but i have an indash eq.....wouldnt i need to get rid of that to use the cd players eq?

your deck should be all the processing power you need, and as far as i know, all a line driver does is boost the voltage on rcas. your 7100 will have 8v preamp outs already, so i'd take the eq out and sell it if i were you.

well its mounted in my center console but i can probably find a new one in a junk yard or replace it with the zapco controller
