Thinking of Buying a Shotgun, few Q's?

For safety getting to locked bed of your truck would be a pain youd be shot or killed before you could get your weapon....I carry one of these within hands reach of my vehicle all the time....I'm not sure in TN but in LA it is legal to shoot car jackers...I've pulled it a couple of times but so far never had the pleasure to shoot one...they've always ran and it wouldn't be sporting to shoot them in the back.....

are those taurus .45/410 revolvers?

as I said, the difference is the ability for select fire but I did not know that the mini-14 as of 2005 was recatagorized as a ranch rifle, that was news to me...

I understand why you say that these semi auto assult weapons are not in the true sense of the word an "assult rifle" but that is splitting hairs to me...You have your opinion I have mine...

Thats why I call select fire weapons millitary and semi auto as civillian...Same gun different fire capability...

"you are technically correct and I am technically wrong" but I still call my ar-15 and kimber 300 assult rifles...

not trying to start an argument but its not my opinoin, it is fact.

Semi-automatic rifles, including commercial versions of the AR-15, and "automatic" rifles limited to firing single shots are not assault rifles as they are not selective fire. Belt-fed weapons or rifles with very limited capacity fixed magazines are also generally not considered assault rifles.

44. In a strict definition, a firearm must have all of the following five characteristics to qualify as an assault rifle:[1][2][3]

Is a carbine sized individual weapon with provision to be fired from a shouldered position.

Barrel length is usually 400 mm to 500 mm (16” to 20”)

Is capable of selective fire.

Fires from a locked breech.

Utilizes an intermediate powered-cartridge.

Ammunition is supplied from a large capacity detachable box magazine.

yeah that .410 shotgun pistol is kick ***, I might have to pick one of those up...That would make a excellent defense weapon...Hadn't seen these before...going to look them up right now...

easy there. no i dont want to fight, im just trying to make clear the diffrence for anyone reading this thread because there are some people that think a ruger 10-22 with a banana clip is an assault rifle because its got a removable 30 or 50 round clip. this is really shity when congress decides on another "assault weapon" ban because, like last time, they lump all these guns like yours and mine into that catagory when they dont belong. there are alot of misinformed/ignorant people out there giving us responsible gun owners a bad name.
