thinking of active setup

Ok I am thinking of going active with a crossover like the coustic xm6. I want to know what freq's I should be sending to my mids and tweets. They are the jl vr 6's in my sig. Also what kind of power should I be sending to them since they are not sharing the power will the tweeter need less power?

Just mess with frequencies. Start off with 80 at the low-end and what tweeters are you using? Perhaps around 3khz. It really is more personal preference then a science.
I already have an active bass crossover but I suppose I will take it out and try the other one...

this is all I get from the jl manual/website

2-way network with 1st order low-pass circuit and 3rd order high pass circuit.

so that only tells me the cut but not the freq except the 59hz-25khz rating which is useless. Its the tweeter freqs I'm concerned with.

So it's a component set you are trying to hookup //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif

Start around 80 hz. HP on the mids and BP them at around 3khz or wherever your tweeters pick up.
