What sub? Pics of the box?
Yea. Like you. Kmsl

After 2 YEARS OF KNOWONE BEING ABLE TO CLAMP THE BEAZILLIAN AMPS IN 30 MINUTES I FIGURED OUT HOW TO AND SHARED IT WILL TGE FOURMS. Do tell.

I hace articles from the mid 2000s that you could learn from.

Actually, that box doesn't look all that bad if it's your 1st build. I've seen much worse. I might have an issue with the port being so close to the tailgate because from the pics, it looks awfully close. The general rule of thumb for spacing is something like 3-4". Um...another thing I noticed is how close your screws are to the edge of the MDF....that can cause the mdf to break off a chunk being so close like that. .375" is 1/2 of 3/4" or .75". Just so you know...and lay out some lines next time if you build again for the screws.
First of all, thank you!

Honestly I didn't put too much effort in to this box because I planned on having more woofers within a month or two, and there's not a huge market for used equipment around Springfield ,(most people have noooooo clue. They only know mainstream brands.) So I figured why put a ton of time and money into a box I really won't have long AND I can't resell! But thank you for your compliments, and @shredder1 gives me a little drive to do my best on my final box if I'm doing decent things now! As to the port Being so close. An SPL guy at a local competition (159.8db) said I should move my port close to the hatch for bad SQ but more SPL. I gained with my 12 so I just built my 18 that way. I designed this box in accounting class and built it the next afternoon! Lol

So you say now. Stick around a while and he'll change your mind.

EVL 18 in the 98 Grand Cherokee https://imgur.com/gallery/nWFAk

6.5 cubic feet. 32hz. Designed and built by me. It's not pretty yet because I just finished it two days ago and was anxious to get it running.[/QUOTE]

Port firing to the rear has been for me. I've already posted pics of what box layouts work well in that body style Jeep.

Also look at how much space that takes up now. How do you plan to fit 4 in there?

Carpentry overall looks solid at least. I have high hopes for your future revisions.

A Skar EVL 18. (Yes I know. Not the world's best driver but it's what I could afford right now) in a 6.5 cubic foot enclosure tuned to 32 hz. Will upload pics in just a minute. The box isn't beautiful rn but I plan to bedliner it and just clean it up in general. I plan on buying 3 more 18s and running a b pillar 4th order. Right now the one 18 is on my APCL1500.1 I already had at 2 ohms. Good to break it in and then I'll add more power. (Probably a taramps 5k per 2 woofers.) The reason why I went with the EVL 18 is not only because I could afford it (a big plus) but also because 1. I talked to another Jeep Grand Cherokee owner who sent me many videos of his 2 EVL 18s in a 4th c pillar doing some serious work and he highly recommend for the price, and 2. I'm still in highschool. Even if 15s or 12s could get louder, there's just some serious street cred with bumping the big 18s, and I'm sure you all know where I'm coming from there //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Quit feeding the troll and read.

Okay... New development. My bass is cutting in and out. The sub is not blown, all connections are good on the amp. So I'm assuming either the sub has a bad coil and is reading weird, or the amp is iust dead, whether it be from heat, or cyclical vibration... it got crazy crazy hot yesterday. Gain is at like 33-44% so even if it's clipping it's not CRAZY. And thanks for the box compliments. To answer your question, B pillar.

You might have a sub wiring issue....Make sure it's wired correctly to amp for final ohm load that isn't lower than what the amp is capable of handling. Inadequte voltage from amp.

I've resold used enclosures before. It's a little difficult at 1st but if you put a cheap price tag on it, eventually someone will buy it. Then you got the lowballers offering pennies on the dollar for it. Don't let that happen.

And how many boxes and positions did he test in 95-98 Jeep GC? I'm telling you that is not optimum for numbers or sounding good and 32hz tuning definitely won't do numbers.

To answer your question, B pillar.
IF you manage to even fit all those cones on there you will not have enough area for an adequate port. Best be looking for a Yukon, Suburban, or cargo van if you want 4 18s in a flat wall.

This comment leads me to believe that you probably don't know the proper way to set amplifier gains. Even setting the gain at 25% could still be over driving your amplifier/speakers depending on your signal voltage. When people say "I only set my gain to half way" that almost always means they think it works like a volume knob.

I don't have access to a DD1 or anything like that. I set with a 40hz tone and am a musician so it's not hard for me to hear distortion. The reason I say knob percentage is because I don't want anyone to think I'm just an idiot with the gain at max
