thinkin about type r's + bxi1606D...

ok im gonna be buying new subs soon and was considering two 12' alpine type r's and a hifonics BXI1606D amp...

i hear good things about the type r's esp for the price and even tho the 1606D might be slightly underrated - its pretty cheap and should still push a decent amount of power into em

granted i dont wanna spend an arm and a leg - but i still want a setup that will be better than *most* ppl - not all you pyschos on these forums =) cause i dont got thousands to spend on two speakers right now...

so i was just wondering if anyone has any input? either these should bump pretty hard doing about 700-750ish watts a piece - or if there is any other combination around the same price or a little higher that would yield better results?

Great set up type R's has the best SQ of any sub i have had to be honest i had 2 of them a couple of years ago. now i have kicker CVX's wired down 2 1ohm with that same amp you have running at 1000rms i know for a fact that the r 12's are about 500 rms so you good to go on that 1 but the 15's are 750 rms my boy got them i like the 15's better but the SQ is amazing if you set ya gains correctly

well the amp is rated at 1600 rms @ 1 ohm

now i know its prolly slightly overrated

but do you think it would be able to push 1400 rms?

thats a good package deal.

i have the hifonics bxi1606d to push 1 12 SSA ICON. im satisfied with my set up.

Well I'm looking to run some TyepR's as well...two of the 12's off a rfT10001BD:naughty: I'm hoping that I can do maybe a hair trip or two But idk, well see...good luck with your setup...

go for a 2006. my 10" Rs sounded like **** on the 1606...they were probably seeing 500 watts each, gains were set properly, and they still ******. My MD2 was a HUGE improvement
