OK....so what DOES compare to the all mighty W7?

Not trying to sound like a prick, but there seems to be alot of JL haters on this board. I'm not a JL fanboy, I've never even owned any of their products.

But way too often people complain about how so many other subs will "OWN" a W7/W6 in catagories such as SQ/SPL.

OK. What woofers are there that will "OWN" a W7/W6 in the above mentioned catagories......costing equal to or less than a W7/W6....

well it is true... but heavily dependant on the enclosure i have hear tons of setups stomp the w7 in spl, sq not so much but as far as a compromise of sq/spl i'd like nothin better than a w7

PS; call me a jl fanboy but it is because i have heard alot of setups and preffer jl to other setups. but i rarely recomend it for anyone who isn't crazy about their car audio its not practical in any way

Plenty of woofers that will own a W7 and at half the price.

IDMAX probably one of the best out there, if you can get a hold of the older RE XXX, i heard FI is making a sub that is superior to that of the W7, me personally im an SQ fan so i bought Soundsplinters RLP4 great SQ sub at a great price and can pound 500-1000 watts RMS all day long.

Another Sub that is probably the best sub in the world is the TC sounds

LMS-5400 Super Driver

its a superb subwoofer at the same price but its said to be the best in the world, nothing will ever touch this sub.

Then you have the TC12oem something really special at a ridiculous low price look at its specs and you will see that price doesn't always mean quality and superiority.

the w7 is one of my favorite subs, and there are many that can get louder. but if you're looking for a comparable sub, the mag is a good buy. and from what I hear, the Fi Q would be close as well (for much cheaper). and most people don't like JL cuz they don't have it

either way, if you do some looking, you can find the w6 and w7 at a decent price.
